Happy Easter !
The name Easter is taken from a Teutonic
lunar goddess, Eostre (hence, estrogen).
The rabbit or hare are associated with this
goddess to symbolize fertility and, so the
egg, representing the cosmic egg of creation.
This explains why we have the tradition of
Easter bunnies and eggs. Her holiday, Eostara
was held on the full moon nearest the Vernal
Equinox. Easter, however, is held on the
first Sunday following the first full moon,
following the Vernal Equinox, which explains
why Easter is never at the same time every
year.

Flower garlands and crowns of daisies brighten
up Easter frocks and curly locks, while bouquets
of fresh flowers adorn the Sunday brunch
table. Though the season is still early,
fragrant lilies and daffodils, crocus and
tulips are ready to be picked from the yard
and set about the house to herald spring.
Easter is after all the celebration of light
over dark and life over death, a resurrection
and new beginnings.
Happy Easter and a happy spring to our readers
in the northern hemisphere and to our southern
hemisphere readers enjoy a bountiful first
harvest.
